real stories, carefully told
A tool can help tell a story.
It cannot live one.
Living Lisbon is being built around a simple promise: do not make an experience sound personal unless it really belongs to the person telling it.
Experience is not something to invent.
A personal story needs the author’s own notes and permission. A visit, a meal, a conversation or an opinion will never be filled in just to make a draft feel more human.
Research and memory do different jobs.
Venue and official information can help explain the practical parts. It does not prove that someone went there. Dates, prices and rules need their own evidence; a story must not blur that distinction.
AI is an assistant, not an eyewitness.
AI may help organise and draft material. A draft is not a personal approval. Any future automatically published, unreviewed explainer will be labelled as such and will not be written as a personal experience.
A correction belongs with the story.
If a published story needs a factual correction, the update should be visible with it. Tell us what needs correcting, including the page and a source when you have one.
Personal stories and opinions require editorial review and allowed notes. Practical explainers may be released without that review; they carry a lisbonline desk byline and a clear AI-written, not-yet-reviewed label. Newsletter delivery is not active yet.
