Natural wine bars in Lisbon

Our friend Umut, a WSET-trained wine enthusiast, picked these twelve Lisbon wine stops. Natural wines, small producers and sharing plates give the list its mood. You don’t need a wine vocabulary to get started: tell the team the sort of glass you enjoy. Some stops also sell bottles, and Flaneur switches from daytime café to evening wine bar.

In short

For natural wine in Lisbon, try the Santos and São Bento group: Salty Lisboa, Vibeyard and Holy Wine, with After Hours on the Lapa side. Pop the Wine in Anjos and Locals & Nomads at Travessa do Monte combine a wine bar with a shop. Describe the style you enjoy, then ask what is being poured.

Good to know

Can I buy a bottle to take home?

Yes. Pop the Wine and Locals & Nomads both combine a wine bar with a shop. Start with a glass if you want help choosing.

Is there a wine stop in Belém?

Salty Floor is the Belém choice. It is a separate venue from Salty Lisboa on Poço dos Negros.

Do I need to know about natural wine?

No. Describe whether you like a light, fresh glass or something fuller, then ask the team what is open by the glass.

Are all twelve exclusively natural-wine bars?

No. The list centres on natural wines and small producers, but Flaneur is also a daytime café and evening wine bar; we do not label every wine there natural.
