A good time to be here.

Time in Lisbon, right now

Lisbon time is shown in the city’s local time zone, alongside the comparison city you choose. Check the date as well as the hour before arranging a call: clock changes can alter the difference. Sunrise and sunset estimates use a fixed Lisbon reference. The comparison tools work on your device without asking for your location.

Light for your day

Sunrise, sunset, a slower walk

Daylight estimates load here for central Lisbon.

These are SunCalc estimates for the public city centre, rounded to minutes. Buildings, hills and cloud affect the view. Check the forecast as well as the time.

The next clock change

One hour makes a difference

Under current rules: the last Sunday of March and October at 01:00 UTC.

In spring, one hour is skipped. In autumn, the 01:00 hour happens twice in Lisbon. Keep the date and time zone with an appointment near the change.

A good moment to call home

The next hourly slots between 09:00 and 21:00 in both Lisbon and your selected city. Use these windows to suggest a time, then confirm it with the person you are calling.

Metro: check the actual service

Lisbon Metro’s normal operating window is 06:30–01:00 daily. This is a timetable, not live service or lift status.

A table, not just a time

Restaurant kitchens can close before the venue does. Confirm the kitchen, reservation and holiday hours with your chosen place; we do not infer “open now” from the clock.

Keep your first day light

After a long journey, leave room for bags, a meal and one nearby wander. Put the unmissable reservation on a day when you have more margin, and save the return-journey details before heading out.

The quick answers

What time zone is Lisbon in?

Lisbon uses Europe/Lisbon: Western European Time (WET, UTC+00:00) in winter and Western European Summer Time (WEST, UTC+01:00) in summer. This page uses your device clock and its time-zone rules; it does not synchronise your device clock.

Is Lisbon the same time as London?

Under the current rules, Lisbon and London share the same winter and summer clock. Choose London in the comparison above to see the difference for this moment. Do not extend that assumption to every European city or to the Azores.

Does Portugal change the clocks?

Mainland Portugal currently moves forward one hour on the last Sunday in March and back one hour on the last Sunday in October, at 01:00 UTC. The next change shown here is calculated from those rules; check the official source if legislation changes.

Does this page use my location?

No. Your browser’s time-zone setting is used on your device for the comparison. We do not request GPS, send the selected zone to our server or save it in a URL, cookie or local storage.

Are these times venue opening hours?

No. The clock and daylight estimates cannot tell us whether a shop, restaurant kitchen or attraction is open. Check the venue’s own page, booking information and holiday notices before travelling.
