The heads-up
A transport change, closure or weather warning matters more than another long list of things to do. We’ll explain what a verified update means for your plans, with a date so an old announcement doesn’t look new.
Postcard from Lisbon
Issue 04 · Autumn lightA good plan for the weekend. A table from the guide. A walk worth making time for. And the news that actually changes your plans — not a pile of headlines.
We’re building the Postcard for visitors and people who live here. You choose the pace: a Weekend edition, a weekday Morning edition, or daily ideas during your trip before switching back to weekly.

Pick one
A concert, exhibition or workshop from the calendar, with its real programme link. We’ll pick actual sessions from the programme, so you have a date to put in your plans.
Leave room for lunch
One place from the guide, with a practical reason to go and something to look for on the menu. You’ll see whose favourite it is, with practical details to help you choose your own next stop.
Go slowly
A short route through a neighbourhood, with time to stop along the way. You can open the guide for the map and save places in My Lisbon without creating an account.
No. The guides, news and event calendar are open without a newsletter subscription. Saved places stay in your browser.
No. Once sign-ups open, we’ll send a confirmation link. An unconfirmed request does not receive newsletter issues. Confirmation and preferences will stay separate from sharing an Ask the guide question.
Once sign-ups open, the preference page lets you choose an edition, interests and Journal stories separately: each morning, weekly, or not by email. Journal starts off; changing it does not change your Postcard edition. Trip mode runs during your dates, then returns to weekly. Each real issue will carry preference and unsubscribe links; none are active preview links.
Any future paid placement will be labelled Sponsored, with at most one in an issue. Sponsors will not receive subscriber addresses. There are no sponsor messages in the template previews.
There are no sent Postcard issues to archive yet. Individual published stories are already in the news archive; they are not relabelled as newsletter editions.
