A live-music evening needs one good anchor. Choose the performance, read the start time and give the room your attention. We would rather build dinner around a show than discover halfway through the meal that the music has already started.
For live music in Lisbon, choose Fado in Chiado for a seated performance, read Pensão Amor’s dated calendar for a central bar programme, or plan a separate evening at Fábrica Braço de Prata in Marvila. Fado, a gig and a DJ set are different choices. Check the exact performance, ticket and return journey before booking.
Fado in Chiado is a useful choice when you want a defined performance rather than a late dinner with music around it. The published show line lists Monday–Saturday, starts at 17:30 and 19:00 and a 50-minute duration. Read the ticket for the date and seating conditions before paying.
Then decide where to eat. Keeping the show and meal as separate choices makes it easier to fit different appetites and bedtimes. In a fado room, save the conversation for the gaps between songs. A fado museum visit is interesting for a different reason, but it is not a live performance.
Pensão Amor’s rooms host music and other performances. Look at the event rather than using the bar’s opening time as the show time. The operator calendar is the next step for deciding whether a particular evening is a concert, a themed night or simply a drink in the room.

Fábrica Braço de Prata is one of Umur’s favourites: music, books, food and rooms that invite an unhurried visit. It is in Marvila, not the next doorway after a central bar. Start from the programme, choose the performance and plan the journey east around that anchor.
The current operator page lists Tuesday as closed. On other days, venue opening does not establish when a particular band starts or whether dinner is included. Read the event and restaurant arrangements separately. Leave the return decision made before the music begins.
Musicbox’s old Cais do Sodré venue is closed. Its team continues at Casa Capitão in Beato, with a broader programme. Do not reuse an old Musicbox pin or a similarly named accommodation website for the journey. Use the published event address.
Our event calendar helps you compare announced sessions, but the organiser confirms tickets and access. A venue outside the centre can be worth the trip; it just needs a proper outward and return connection. Check CARRIS service notices rather than assuming the usual riverside stop is unchanged.
