Airport taxi vouchers: know the price before you ride

Added 18 Oct 2026

A fixed-price airport taxi voucher covers luggage, with fares set by destination zone, time and vehicle size. For up to four passengers, the published weekday daytime prices are €16 or €19. The Ask Me Lisboa desk sells vouchers between 07:00 and 22:00.

If you’re here: Confirm the destination, total and voucher conditions before paying; don’t assume every airport taxi uses the same arrangement.

September fuel-duty proposal sought an extension to December

Added 18 Oct 2026

On 17 September, Cabinet approved a bill to extend the temporary fuel-duty reduction mechanism until 31 December 2026. The announcement said an extension would not itself create a further automatic tax reduction. This archive records the proposal at that stage; it does not establish its later parliamentary outcome.

If you’re here: Check current pump prices and enacted tax measures before budgeting for a journey; the September proposal did not fix retail prices.

On 9 July, Portugal’s Cabinet approved a rental-reform bill addressing deposits, advance rent and limits between contracts. Its announcement distinguished new contracts from existing ones, whose applicable regime would stay unchanged. This archive records the proposal at that stage, not a confirmation of today’s rules for a particular tenancy.
