Funding call opens for nearly €66m in Linha do Norte upgrades

A new funding call offers nearly €66m towards signalling and telecommunications upgrades on the Linha do Norte, with a maximum contribution rate of 85%. The government's 19 October announcement includes train-control equipment between Granja and Gaia and railway communications between Campanhã and Entroncamento. This is a funding step, not the start of a new passenger service.
